BioSimply put... I have a love for historical fashion, any era for that matter! Well... from the mid 1500's to the 1960's would be more my range.
I have been involved in a Civil War re-enactment for the past 10 years and when I started my first project was to sew an 1860's ball gown. I did just that and made it out of deep purple satin and black velvet hem just so that I could particpate in the "country barn" dances. Needless to say after ten years it has gone through the front panel being torn and replaced, the satin changes to a variety of colors due to sweat and exposure to the sun. I think it is indeed time to make a new one. I also enjoy collecting vintage clothing and extremely enjoy wearing it anytime I have a chance.
Tea being a Victorian ritual of the day has been my latest adventure. I dream of having a formal tea where I hope I can have ladies and gentleman come in any fashion attire to enjoy a afternoon social tea and a game of croquet under the grand old Oaks.
